What is Bituach Leumi?
Bituach Leumi (National Insurance Institute) is a government organization providing social protection to all residents of Israel. Every resident is required to pay contributions and is entitled to receive benefits.
Main types of benefits:

- Disability allowance — for people with disabilities
- Unemployment benefits — temporary support when losing a job
- Child allowance — monthly payments to families with children
- Absorption basket (Sal Klita) — special allowance for new immigrants
